All The More Reason

Paris-Match has an interview with Iraqi President Jalai Talabani. Interestingly, it says that he speaks fluent french. Here’s his response to the question “Are you afraid for your life?”.

Of course I’m afraid, like everybody here. I would prefer to go back to Souleymanie where I would be safe, but I have a mission to accomplish here beside those who fight for a peaceful, united and prosperous Iraq. I never wanted to be president, you know, my dream would have been to become professor at a university.
